Daniel Webster
Instructor

Daniel Webster (MCSE: NT 3.51, Windows 2003, Security, Internet; Comptia Security+; Tripwire; Active Defense) specializes in planning and designing secure enterprise infrastructure. For 13 years Daniel has shared this knowledge with IT personnel in training sessions. As a Mindsharp instructor Daniel enjoys teaching students how to install, secure, and support Microsoft operating systems, networks, and Internet technologies. In addition, Daniel develops and writes Mindsharp courseware for SharePoint administrators.

For several years Daniel was a national speaker on security and Microsoft Server products at conferences such as NetWorld InterOp, Comdex, HDI, Support Services, FrontLines, MCTCon, IT Infrastructure Management, and CeBIT America. Daniel has written presentations for Microsoft on Public Key Infrastructure and Securing IIS. He was on the courseware development review team for the Site Server 3.0, Commerce Server 2000, Internet Security and Acceleration Server, SharePoint Portal Server, and Application Center Server.

Daniel taught the beta class at Microsoft for ISA 2004 firewall (course 2824) and conducted a Trainer Prep class for the course in Kansas City with attendees from several countries. He also taught two Trainer Prep classes on Windows 2000 courses and two on Commerce Server 2000 for Microsoft trainers in the Far East (Singapore).

Daniel frequently assists organizations in planning and designing their SharePoint implementations. He also organized and supports a SharePoint Users Group for the Kansas City area.

Daniel was raised near Chattanooga, Tennessee and the accent still comes through. He lived for several years each in Italy, Maryland, New Jersey, and Minnesota. He currently resides in Kansas City, Kansas where he enjoys photography and participating in church activities.
