Overview

This 5-day course is designed to provide SharePoint developers and web designers with the basic and intermediate information and skills they need to extend, customize, and deploy a Web content management (WCM) publishing site implementation.

Online

The online option is held in conjunction with the instructor-led course, with other students in the classroom and online, via Live Meeting technology.

For all labs to work, and to make the most of the event, you will need to set up your computer with the following:

• Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7
• Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 client - This should be downloaded (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA101733831033.aspx) and installed in advance of the event.
• Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 VHD

Prerequisites

Ideally students have previous development experience with the .NET Framework and ASP.NET. It is helpful, but not required, if students have a basic understanding of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS), Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS), and Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 (MCMS).

The primary audience for this course is SharePoint developers who are responsible for the successful implementation of a WCM site.
