You guys are a great group of trainers for the product. You did a good job
covering this much material in a weeks time. A lot of information, but even
w/out having any prior sharepoint knowledge, I feel comfortable that I will be
able to implement this product.
Thanks again for an excellent course. I feel definitely more positive and
confident towards Sharepoint after spending the week in your class. Been
to many courses on different subjects, can't remember enjoying them as much as
this one. It was completely worth the 7000 mile trip. We've got our
fingers crossed, hoping we'll be able to attend an advanced class later on.
The networking with not only the instructors but the other classmates was great
The labs were good - better than just sitting and listening. The little demo
movies are really good, as they show where the actions occur on the pages. The
laptop prep instructions are also very good.
I came into this class having only worked with Site Collections on a limited
basis. I feel like I'm leaving ready to build and administer a very robust
Portal (which I actually do need to do). The information presented was not too
broad but also not too deep. You didn't try to cover too much material, but at
the same time, you covered the really important stuff. It left me with a good
knowledge of the toolset that I can now explore on my own.
I really liked Todd's cameo presentation [in the Admin class]. I'd love to have
him get almost a whole day to speak.
This is the only comprehensive training I was able to find on this product.
Good information - and a lot of it. Good help from Todd, James, and Penny. bad
jokes - keep 'em comin'!
First, thanks for taking my suggestion about the initial walk through of
planning the St. louis / Phoenix portal (collaboration). Despite the jokes, the
instructors were quite good. The food - wonderful. A nice surprise. Overall a
very good value !!
Instructors / proctors all KNEW the material. Labs and exercises were not too
canned / scripted but did a good job helping you use the product..."
Great Overview and lots of relevant info.
The Instruction team was excellent - very helpful - glad that instructors took
the time to walk around and answer questions - even those questions that were
not pertaining to the labs. You have a very knowledgable team!!
There was a good balance between technical and design capabilities. I think you
were able to keep everyone's attention no matter what skill level they were at
with the product.
This could have been a very dry course, but the instruction was VERY
interesting and entertaining. I think that the enthusiasm of all of the
trainers was great! It is always nice to learn from people with a lot of
knowledge to give. Thanks for everything.
Bill kept the participants focused. The team knew their product and was
responsive to the class
I really appreciated the knowledge of the instructors - everybody really seemed
to have excellent understanding of the material. Presentation style (especially
Bill's) was very good, and was key to keeping my attention over five full days.
The material was well organized.
I liked how you had very knowledgeable helpers (proctors) helping with
questions and problems. You food was excellent! The late afternoon "snack" took
care of supper on a couple of days.
Environment was great. Thanks! Rarely do I remain awake for an entire class,
especially after the "feedings" that we had. Food was a great idea to add in.
Thanks for the refreshments during class. Break times were set perfectly.
Attitude in the class was very amenable.

The collaboration between the students is very useful. Real-life answers bring
up useful discussion about topics which improves the learning experience.
Bill's doing a great job in explaining the material. He's got a lot of real
world examples that really shows he understands how you'd want to use this
product.
There where a number of points where I learned detail or perspective that I
clearly didn't have. In other situations, the the class experience confirmed
the limitations of the product that I am experiencing, and in a way this is
helpful too.
Very fun and informative. Instruction was geared to make sure we understood the
concepts. Friendly instruction made for a great learning environment.
Great Content - you get a bit of everything you need to know to work with
Sharepoint.
Todd is obviously very knowledgable and excited about the product.
I like the departure from the MOC.
Facilities were excellent. Staff was excellent. Always pleasant, helpful, and
knowledgable. Bill's knowledge of the subject is phenomenal! I could take the
summit again and continue to learn much more.
A huge amount of material and really no wasted time
Very informative and indepth. There is a great deal to cover and you did a
great job. It was nice to attend an application class that really gets under
the hood of the product and exposes the nuts and bolts of the product.
A lot of good information with plenty of notes for future reference. Very well
presented. Good balance of lecture/labs/breaks. I also enjoyed the
end-of-the-day sessions with partners; it was great to hear other solutions
that build on SharePoint. I liked Bill's willingness to say "I don't know" when
he didn't know the answer. I had much more confidence in the answers that he
did know because of that.
I really enjoyed the class. I have many resources to use now to implement
Sharepoint solutuions. :) The class did go very well and Todd Bleeker taught
well to such diversity. No one was lost. Not even the people that had minimal
exposure to Sharepoint. Great job! I would definitely recommend the class to
others.
I have just completed a fantastic week of SharePoint Portal 2003 Administrator
training in Minneapolis by the Mindsharp instructors. They are excellent to say
the least. I was speaking with them and they provide end-user training which
will be essential for the success of our SharePoint initiative. The gentleman
who runs this company, Bill English, (he also was the instructor for the class
I took) is the primary author for both the SPS 2001 and SPS 2003 Microsoft
Resource Kits, which are the bibles for each version of SPS. The experience I
have had with Bill English and Mindsharp and been extremely positive and I
recommend that others consider them as their SPS training provider. I have
attended other SPS training courses from other providers and they do not
compare with Mindsharp.
First of all, thank you for a great Design and Architecture class last week. I
learned so much and absorbed a vast amount of information in a short period of
time. Because I do all the training at Mercy Medical Center and I attended a
SharePoint Solutions training session in California, you asked me to email you
regarding the class and how I felt the training was performed. The high energy
level that you have is absolutely essential. The energy is 'contagious' and it
made me want to dive into SharePoint without waiting to return to the office. I
really appreciated this a lot. It is obvious that you and Bill are very
knowledgeable regarding SharePoint. I was truly amazed at how much you two
know!! The Modules covered material that I need to develop our project plan for
implementing SharePoint at the Hospital. |
